Diffusion in Deformable Media

چکیده
We begin with the initial-boundary-value problem for a coupled system of partial differential equations which describes the Biot consolidation model in poroelasticity. Existence, uniqueness and regularity theory is developed for the quasi-static case as an application of the theory of linear degenerate evolution equations in Hilbert space, and this leads to a precise description of the dynamics of the system. Current work on the foundations of the model and appropriate extensions to models with elasticviscous-plastic media or nonhomogeneous media will be briefly described.

Multiscale Multiphysic Mixed Geomechanical Model for Deformable Porous Media Considering the Effects of Surrounding Area
Porous media of hydro-carbon reservoirs is influenced from several scales. Effective scales of fluid phases and solid phase are different. To reduce calculations in simulating porous hydro-carbon reservoirs, each physical phenomenon should be assisted in the range of its effective scale. The simulating with fine scale in a multiple physics hydro-carbon media exceeds the current computational ca...
متن کاملA note on stress-driven anisotropic diffusion and its role in active deformable media.
We introduce a new model to describe diffusion processes within active deformable media. Our general theoretical framework is based on physical and mathematical considerations, and it suggests to employ diffusion tensors directly influenced by the coupling with mechanical stress. The proposed generalised reaction-diffusion-mechanics model reveals that initially isotropic and homogeneous diffusi...
متن کاملA Bloch-Torrey Equation for Diffusion in a Deforming Media
Diffusion Tensor Magnetic Resonance Imaging (DTMRI) technique enables the measurement of diffusion parameters and therefore, informs on the structure of the biological tissue. This technique is applied with success to the static organs such as brain. However, the diffusion measurement on the dynamically deformable organs such as the in-vivo heart is a complex problem that has however a great po...
متن کاملA Generalized Thermo-Elastic Diffusion Problem in a Functionally Graded Rotating Media Using Fractional Order Theory
A generalized thermo-elastic diffusion problem in a functionally graded isotropic, unbounded, rotating elastic medium due to a periodically varying heat source in the context of fractional order theory is considered in our present work. The governing equations of the theory for a functionally graded material with GNIII model are established. Analytical solution of the problem is derived in Lapl...
